Developmental Status (PI0045)

This metric is intended to capture the developmental status of children served by the organization, both in general and on specific areas of development including language, executive function, and social-behavioral skills.

This metric may be used alone to describe the developmental progress of children in projects supported by the organization, or may be used to disaggregate metrics such as Client Individuals: Total (PI4060) to calculate how many children are or are not developmentally on track.

This metric, in combination with Client Individuals: Total, is aligned to SDG indicator 4.2.1.

This metric is multi-dimensional with regard to the five dimensions of impact. In some contexts, this metric can serve as an indicator of whether the outcome being sought by an investor or organization is occurring (the WHAT dimension of impact). It may also help measure the HOW MUCH Scale dimension, which helps estimate the number of the targeted stakeholders experiencing the outcome. No single metric is sufficient to understand an impact; rather, metrics are selected as a set across all dimensions of impact. When possible, the selection of metrics to measure and describe the five dimensions should be based on best practice and evidence.
