Average wage paid to non-salaried full-time, part-time, or temporary employees of the organization during the reporting period. Employees that are salaried should not be included in this calculation.

Usage Guidance

This metric can be narrowed to specific geographies, industries, departments, positions, etc., and organizations should footnote details on how the calculation was made. Organizations are also encouraged to break down and footnote in isolation on the average non-salaried wage for full-time, part-time, and temporary employees, respectively.
Non-salaried employees are paid on a variable basis (e.g., hourly, daily, weekly, other specified time cycle, or other specified parameter). Since the time frame for non-salaried employees can vary, organizations should footnote the time frame used for its calculations. Non-salaried employees' earnings are contingent on the amount of time worked.
