This metric is intended to capture the average output per hectare per farmer among an organization's suppliers.
Organizations should not calculate this metric using aggregate data across all suppliers. Rather, organizations should use farmer-specific data as noted in the calculation.
Organizations should be reporting yield from most the recent harvest.
This metric could be valuable for organizations that procure from farmers and provide support that benefit their yields (e.g., training and technical assistance).
Organizations interested in reporting the yields of farmers that were clients of the organization should report against Average Client Agriculture Yield: Total (PI3468).
In some contexts, this metric can serve as an indicator of whether the outcome being sought by an investor or organization is occurring (the WHAT dimension of impact).
