This metric is intended to capture the flood resilience construction practices deployed and how they address flood risks specific to the area targeted by the organization. Such construction practices directly contribute to improved flood resilience of the community by provisioning of flood resilient community infrastructure, or flood resilient housing units, or housing units renovated for flood resilience.
The contribution of construction practices towards improving flood resilience of the specific community infrastructure should be documented. Reference should be made to established guidance by local and/or global authorities, in particular how the construction practices meet these guidelines. This metric applies to housing units, buildings or community infrastructure constructed or improved.
