This metric is intended to capture the useful life of the organization’s product. Product lifetime refers to the length of time for which it is estimated that the product will perform its intended functions, assuming reasonable use.
Examples of methods for estimating product lifespan, to footnote, include research and development, field testing, and customer surveys.
