The development of IRIS+ Core Metrics Sets, additions and edits to the IRIS catalog of Metrics, edits to Glossary Terms, as well IRIS+ Guidance materials are subject to 30-60 day Public Comment Periods open to all interested.
Theme: IRIS+ Marine Resources Conservation and Management. PCP Status: Active from February 20th, 2025- April 20th, 2025
This working paper features the draft indicators, metrics, associated guidance, overviews and evidence for IRIS+ Marine Resources Conservation and Management (MRCM) theme for public review. The development of this IRIS+ theme commenced in 2023, led by the Global Impact Investing Network, in partnership with Gayle Peterson, Director, Oxford Impact Investing Programme, SBS, University of Oxford, supported by a grant from the Walton Family Foundation.
Core Metrics Sets: Climate Adaptation and Resilience. Now closed. Held June - August 2024. The IRIS+ Catalog of Metrics and Glossary will be updated to include new metrics related to the upcoming IRIS+ Climate Adaptation and Resilience theme. Collated comments and GIIN responses forthcoming (60 comments).
Impact Performance Benchmark Market Analytic KPIs: Healthcare and Forestry. Now closed. Held January - March 2024. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), associated sub-indicators and metrics to support impact analytics on Healthcare and Forestry (an addition to existing Core Metrics Sets on these impact categories) were open for review during this period. Intersections Addendum to the IRIS+ Thematic Taxonomy. Now closed. Held January-March 2023. The GIIN worked closely with PolicyLink and CapEQ to create an addendum to the IRIS+ Thematic Taxonomy, which serves as a guiding resource for applying an equity lens across investment themes. This articulates how the strategic goals within the IRIS+ Racial Equity theme intersect with different investment themes, why that matters, and where racial equity-oriented goals show up in each investment theme.
